Heard of The 3 Bears? Meet The Three Goslings.

I was photographing three goslings when I realized I had forgotten my memory card. I hear too many photographers say they have done the same thing. Their solution? Be prepared before you go to take any photograph. However, we are only human, born to make mistakes. I made the mistake, and it is not the first time either.

The three goslings began to approach me, and I could not miss the chance to capture a few moments with them on video. So, as I have done before when I make a photo faux pas, I took out my iPhone and shot this video.

The iPhone has great video and photographic capabilities. I often experiment with the iPhone in both mediums to see what results I can obtain. In this instance, I used the native iPhone camera app to shoot the video. The stabilization, color, and quality surprised me since this was an “out-of-pocket” video experience. Moreover, it shows the value of having a mobile device with you when you are only human and bound to make mistakes.
