Traditional & sultry : fusion Photoshoot

How will a traditional north Indian outfit “Lehenga” looks like when it gets sultry & not-so-traditional ? I mean what’s life without a dash of fusion? That’s the inspiration for this photo-shoot. We were lucky enough to get to work with some incredible talents in the city.

A golden embellished blouse & a powder blue skirt was the ensemble designed by Studio 149. They are the masters in what they do.  We wanted the mood to be a blend of regal & classy – so we went around a lot of places in Chennai that will be a best suit for this theme and finally we were glad it didn’t happen anywhere else but ‘Gusto Cafe’ at Nungambakkam. With extremely undertone interior designing & lighting the cafe was extremely aesthetically & artistically built.

LOOK NO.1

Make up artist Sai Swetha did a fabulous job with dewy look and messy hair was perfectly pulled off by  Jamuna (hair stylist) for the first look of this fusion Photoshoot. There was red brick wall interiors in a part of the cafe and that was our first go-to. We tried to ease up the model with very natural looks. The strobes were our key light and a slight blend of natural light from the windows.

LOOK NO. 2 :

For the second variation we just wanted to switch to an up-do for the hair with some messy wet strands of hair falling over the model’s face. This brought a sultry look that we exactly pictured in our mind.
